Minting Guide
Wallet Basic Description
1) Roles of Wallets
Making a wallet is a prerequisite for NFT purchase, just like creating a bank account is essential to start banking transactions. The wallet is used to play three main roles.
Cryptocurrency used for NFT purchases can be put into your wallet.
When minting NFT, you will receive Preferred Purchasing Right (WL) by wallet unit.
Minted NFT will be received through your wallet.
2)Types of Wallets
DRX Minting supports KLAY-based wallet, ‘Kaikas’ and ‘Klip’.
What is Kaikas? (Recommended)
Kaikas is a wallet provided by Ground X, which developed the Clayton network.
It is one of the most used wallets in Korea due to its convenience and pleasant usage
However, wallet sync function is only supported via PC Chrome.
What is ‘Klip’?
Klip is a wallet that can be used more conveniently via mobile environment by syncing with Kakaotalk messenger.
Additional authentication is required when clicking the Minting Site > Purchase button.
Klip supports wallet integration via PC and mobile environment.
I don't know which wallet to choose
We recommend you to use the ‘Kaikas wallet’ since it is more comfortable and provides faster sync. However, if you’re not available to use PC, you cannot use Kaikas. So in this case, please use Klip.
3) Minting Process
The basic purchase method is as follows. Please refer to the guide below for detailed instructions.
Install and create a wallet.
Purchase KLAY from exchanges (ex. Coinone, Covit, etc.)
Transfer the purchased KLAY to your wallet.
After syncing the wallet via minting site, purchase NFT.
STEP 1. Wallet Sync
1) Installing Kaikas Wallet in the Chrome Browser
1️⃣ Open Chrome and click the link to install Kaikas.
2️⃣ Launch Kaikas by clicking the extension app icon on the right side of the address window at the top of the browser.
3️⃣ Install and set your wallet according to the instructions. 4️⃣ After setting the password and account, write down the ‘seed phrase’ on a piece paper and keep it safe.
Precautions
If you lose the ‘seed phrase’, no one, including yourself, will have access to your account. It is recommended that you keep the seed phrases safe offline, such as writing them down on paper.
‘Seed phrase’ is personal information that allows access to your wallet, so please do not share it with anyone else.
5️⃣ After registering your account, enter your password to check your connected wallet.
2) Joining Klip
1️⃣ Go to the Kakao Talk 5th tab and click Full Services > Klip.
2️⃣ Sign up by following the instructions.
STEP 2. Buying Coins
DRX NFT can only be purchased in KLAY.
What is KLAY?
KLAY is cryptocurrency issued by Ground X, a subsidiary blockchain company of Kakaotalk.
It is mostly in domestic NFT projects.
KLAY can be purchased by one of the following methods. (Choose 1)
Buy directly from Coinone, Covit, Bithumb, etc We recommend you to buy it at Bithumb, which is easy to transfer to Kaikas wallet.
Buy Ripple or Wemix from Upbit and swap to Klay.
Precaution
Please purchase KLAY at least 3 days before the minting schedule. If you change KRW to cryptocurrency, your withdrawal of cryptocurrency will be restricted for 48 to 72 hours.
Please purchase more KLAY than the minting price. Transaction fees are required for cryptocurrency withdrawal and minting. Therefore, we recommend that you prepare 2~3 more KLAY than the minting price.
STEP 3. Transfer Coins to Your Wallet
1) Purchase and send Klay
1️⃣ Purchase KLAY from Bithumb or other exchanges.
2️⃣ Register the generated clip address as a withdrawal address.
3️⃣ Send KLAY to the clip address. (However, depending on the account, it may take 24 to 72 hours after registration to send KLAY)
4️⃣ If you are using the Kaikas wallet, send it from clip to Kaikas.
Precautions
After the ‘travel rule’ is enforced, your purchased KLAY cannot be transferred to Kaikas immediately. So if you use Kaikas, please make sure to send it via the clip.
2) Swap WEMIX to KLAY and Send it
1️⃣ Buy WEMIX from Upbit.
2️⃣ Go to ‘KLAY Swap’ and sync the wallet you will use for minting.
3️⃣ Send WEMIX to the withdrawal address copied from KLAY swap.
4️⃣ Via KLAY swap, swap WEMIX to KLAY.
STEP 4. Buy NFT
Guidance
The quantity and price in the pictures may differ from the actual ones. The exact amount and price of minting will be announced two weeks before minting. The minting site will be announced via Twitter or Discord on that day.
1️⃣ Please go to the minting site.
2️⃣ Click the 'Install wallet' or 'Sync wallet' button to sync the wallet.
3️⃣ After determining the amount you would like to mint, click the minting button.
A tip to increase the probability of minting success
Your probability of success can only be increased by purchasing a block height that is close to the previously announced block height.
However, some errors may occur depending on the website traffic and network. Learn how to purchase an appropriate block height through the minting game prepared before the public sale.
4️⃣ Proceed with minting by following the purchase procedures requested by each wallet
5️⃣ The minting is successfully completed when the announcement toast says ‘success’.
